THERE IS A SHIFT TAKING PLACE

As you are shifting, you will begin to realize that you are not the same person you used to be. The things you used to tolerate have now become intolerable. Where you once remained quiet, you are now speaking your truth. Where you once battle and argued, you are now choosing to remain silent.

WHO AM I?

Hi, My name is Susie Grimmett, App (Associate Polarity Practitioner)

Reiki Master Teacher, and Intuitive/Medium. I am an Usui Reiki Master Teacher since 1999. I also have studied many other natural healing modality’s. I attended and graduated, from Carolina Polarity, the school of energetic studies while attending herbal classes in Black mountain, NC. Over the years I have been blessed to work with many different people that needed my help. I have been doing readings since 1988.  My husband and myself owned Health Choices Herb Shop for years with many natural products and my business as a Polarity practitioner and intuitive/medium sessions. I have since closed my business and travel with my husband and his job. Skype, phone and messenger sessions allow me to continue reaching my many clients all over the world.

This journey that we call News Article: Fargo, ND/The Forum Newspaper Her Voice: Medium finds peace on the other side By Tracy Briggs on Oct 18, 2015 at 12:16 a.m. Susie Grimmett, an intuitive/medium from South Carolina, is attracting a following at Fargo Rocks. Special to The Forum With her soft-spoken Southern accent, you might think Susie Grimmett is about to invite you to her porch for a sweet tea. But this South Carolina transport is more likely to connect you with a loved one on the other side. Grimmett, an intuitive/medium, moved to Dilworth from down South last year when her husband, Steven, accepted a job here. In that time, she's started to build a devoted following with every reading she gives at the Fargo Rocks rock shop. "She's one of the best I've ever seen," says Tracy Kouba, one of the owners of Fargo Rocks. "She's amazing, I just love her." Grimmett says her intuitive abilities began in childhood. She says among other things, she used to see a Native American spirit watching over her in bed, and remembers another time spotting an old-fashioned man with a handlebar mustache. But when she'd talk about it, she was quickly stifled by the very religious grandparents who raised her. "I think my grandmother was actually intuitive herself, but whenever I'd mention something I'd seen or heard, she'd tell me not to talk about that kind of thing," she says. It took a near-death experience at the age of 29 to awaken her to the possibilities. "I had the flu and had a really high fever. I was hospitalized and starting having convulsions. The next thing I knew I was hovering over my body. Then I heard a 'whoosh' and was pulled into a tunnel. I remember feeling wrapped in love, like nothing I had ever felt before. But I was being encouraged to go back because I had work to do," she says. She recovered, and three years later she says she was "fully awakened" and ready to accept her gift. She eventually was trained in reiki and polarity therapy, which both utilize energy in healing a body. But it is her abilities as a medium that attract the most attention. She says she will occasionally see someone who has crossed over, but more often she says the loved ones of the person she is reading will place thoughts in her head. "I describe it as me overhearing a conversation the spirits are having," she says. Grimmett says sometimes it's the people you most want to connect to who will come through and let you know they're ok, other times others will start lining up to send a message. "I remember doing a reading with a woman, and I mentioned a 'Michael' that was waving to her and just wanted to say 'hi.' " She said she didn't know a Michael who had passed. "But she realized later the man I was describing was her friend Michael who had died when they were in college," she says. It's helping people make those connections that bring Grimmett the most joy. "I used to be a dialysis tech, I nurtured and help people during the treatment . I don't see this as much different. I'm just helping people make connections they don't know how to make themselves," she says,  "The fact is, we all have some intuitive abilities, but we learn to talk ourselves out of them. My goal is to teach people to tap into that," she says. There are a lot of positive things about developing your intuition, but she says her gift comes with its challenges. "I've learned to let go of a lot of things I'm sensing that I can't help with," she says. But in the end, for this Southern lady, it all comes from a place of love. "If I can bring even a little peace to someone who thinks their loved one has suffered, well that just makes it all worth it," she says.
